Cub Page

Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement (for 8-10 year olds). Originally started in 1916 for younger brothers who wanted a 'look-in'. In nearly a century, the section has constantly evolved and adapted its programme and methods to meet the changing needs of each generation of young people and to include girls.

During their time in the Pack, Cubs attend weekly meeting and also have the opportunity to join activities on some weekends where they may join with Cubs from other packs across the District and County to attend exciting events.

Cubs are offered the chance to try lots of different activities from abseiling, climbing, den building, cooking on open fires and archery to exploring and collecting to arts and crafts together with overnight camps and sleepovers. There are a range of badges available to achieve both at home and during our meetings, and when Cubs have completed badges, they display them on their uniforms to show everyone else what they have achieved.
